Question Time!

Well hello again lovely bookworms it's been like month since I posted and I'm really sorry about that but I've been really busy and I haven't had time to read or post. Plus I think I'm in a blogging lull right now. I think all bloggers have had the moment at some point though their blogging history where they just want a break. Yeah that's me right now. Plus I mentioned I am super busy right now. My brothers wedding was last weekend so I had to help with that which took time plus I had school, plus I recently (well like a month ago, which I'm not sure you can count as recent any more) got into watching Korean Drama's which are fantastic (I'll probably write a post on them sometime). But for upcoming stuff I have finals in two weeks and I am trying really hard to study so I can do well and then it is summer break, Yay! I feel I have to climb Mount Everest before I'm allowed to have a vacation, but it will be worth it and I will make my summer awesome.

So I will get back to blogging maybe at the end of May or maybe in June but I'm going to just relax from blogging for a bit. Now while I'm doing that I want you to ask many any question and as many question as you want in the comments. This way I have something interesting to look forward to when I come back from my lull.

I hope you all understand and try not to miss me too much :)

Random Thoughts: Books vs. Movies/ TV shows

I'm going to do a two part post 1) Books vs. Movies/ TVshows and 2) Books Becoming Movies/ TV Shows.  I'm doing this because of all the books that are becoming Movies or TV shows so this is the good and the bad and about that. Also Why books should sometimes stay books and not always be made into movies.


Let's begin:

Books are the best thing ever. They are better than movies and TV shows but they also are very special. Books are ours when we read them read we decide what characters look like, we decide more about them. There is an aurora of creativity to books  because we have more creativity with them. Movies/ TV shows don't have that some creativity what you see is what you get.

My friend and I love discussing books and we both love a lot of the same. For example we both love The Fault in Our Stars but how I imagine Augustus Waters is different from how she imagines him. Though what we think is different it makes it better. In the long run some of our favourite books are becoming movies and that creativity of how we imagine characters will vanish.

When I read the Harry Potter books. I would read a book then I would watch the movie (I became a Potterhead kinda late into the fandom) though I would see the characters from the movie in my head sometimes. I would still go back to the first book to see how they characters are described so I could imagine them how I wanted to not how the movie portrayed them.

Now we will get all these newcomers who will watch them. Don't get me wrong I love movies and TVshows and I love when my favourite books become movies and TV shows but still you lose some creativity. I love TV shows and movies. I love Doctor Who, Once Upon a Time (I'm watching this as I write this post), and others but some books really should stay books.

Book Review: City of Glass

Review: These books keep keep getting better. They aren't quite a favourite but I love the world.

I loved every moment of this book, it was perfect. I love Simon even though he is a vampire now and everything is different it all works out well. So much happens I would not have expected any of it. Cassandra Clare is really good at that making you think one way then turning it on it's head. I think that's what makes these books so addicting! You always want to know what happens next.

Even if you look at the summary, this was supposed to be the last book but I guess the following was large enough that Cassie Clare decided to write three more. The ending for this one is so great, everything turns out okay and everyone is happy. Just thinking that there are three more books means there are bound to be problems, but why do these characters have to go through more problems. They survived a war for goodness sake.

Well this book was amazing I just hope the next books are as good as this.

Wild Strawberries

Tonight I have a choir concert for my school so wish me luck that I don't sound awful.
I can'believe April is almost over we are already 1/3 through 2013 why is time going by so fast!

Book Review: City of Ashes

Review: I read this book three weeks ago so I will try my best to remember exactly what happens and I will try not to get it mixed up with the next couple of books in the series.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I liked it much better than the first. There was character building and   world building. So much happens in this book.

Clary wants things to go back to normal, but how can that happen when she just found out who her dad and brother are and she is a shadowhunter. Things aren't likely to go back to normal. So much happens to all the characters Clary, Jace, Simon, Alec. Especially Simon I mean his entire life changes (I just can't tell you how it changes, no spoilers).

The book had what seemed like a horrible ending because we find something out that could be really great and then it ends. That's the nice thing about reading a series when most of the book have come out already you don't have to wait a year for the next book to come out, you can just get it.

I thought this was a really good sequel to City of Bones.

Book Review: The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight

Review: Can I just say how much I love books like this. There cute, short, simple, and really sweet. I don't like it when they end. I want to read more books like this, they are so cute. I just love cute stories!

The Statistical Probability of Love at First Sight is a very long title so I will abbreviate it TSPOLAFS. You would think from the title that there would be inta-love but it really isn't. Oliver and Hadley meet when they sit next too each other on a flight to England from the states (which is a long flight). They end up talking about everything and they learn a lot about each other, but the only thing they won't talk about is their family. Both of them has a lot of issues going on with their family.

I also love the over I think it is super adorable, cute, fun and creative.

I love Oliver! I'm pretty sure he's almost every girls dream guy. He is wonderful and did I mention he's British. I love cute contemporary love stories!

If you're looking for a cute, sweet love story I would definitely recommend this!

Dreams Deferred

What happens to a dream deferred?

Does it dry up
like a raisin in the sun?
Or fester like a sore—
And then run?
Does it stink like rotten meat?
Or crust and sugar over—
like a syrupy sweet?

Maybe it just sags
like a heavy load.

Or does it explode? 


Update
I have this horrible habit of not wanting to do something, and then it keeps getting pushed off so I have even more to do. That's how I am with blog posts, I don't want to do it for one week and it happens that is a week I read a ton! So I feel overwhelmed and the I keep pushing off wrting all my book reviews and really just any post in general. Maybe I'm just in a blogging lull I don't know. I hope I'm not the only one who feels like this, I feel like a horrible blogger.
